What is Leeton JumpStart Fund?Leeton JumpStart Fund is a community-driven charity dedicated to providing immediate temporary financial assistance and support to residents of Leeton Shire facing unexpected hardships. Our goal is to ensure that no one in our community faces adversity alone.

How does the Leeton JumpStart Fund work?We provide financial aid to individuals and families in crisis. This support can cover medical expenses, rent (if money needed to be redirected to support the emergency), utilities, groceries, and more. Our team of volunteers assesses each application to ensure that help is provided swiftly and effectively. Please Note: No funeral costs will be paid. JumpStart does not undertake fundraising for individual cases. The preferred method of providing financial relief is through direct payment of accounts to service providers by JumpStart. Cash will only be issued in exceptional circumstances.

How do I apply for assistance?To apply for assistance, call our helpline 0438 036 025 or you can fill out our online application form. You will be contacted within 24hrs by a volunteer helpline representative who will guide you through the process and provide the necessary support to complete your application.

Is there a limit to the amount of financial aid provided?The amount of aid provided depends on the individual circumstances and needs of each applicant. Our assessment committee reviews each case to determine the appropriate level of support.

How quickly can I receive assistance?We strive to provide support as quickly as possible. Once your application is submitted and reviewed, our goal is to deliver aid within a few days.

Do I need to repay the financial assistance?No, the financial assistance provided by Leeton JumpStart Fund is a gift from the community and does not need to be repaid.

What types of expenses can Leeton JumpStart Fund cover?We can assist with a wide range of expenses, including but not limited to: Medical bills Rent and utilities Groceries and essential supplies Transportation costs (e.g., petrol) School-related expenses

Can I apply for assistance more than once?Yes, you can apply for assistance multiple times if face another challenging situation. Each application will be assessed on its own merits. Please note that our intention is to offer those in crisis a jumpstart to get through a challenging time. The financial assistance we provide is short-term, if you are seeking long term financial assistance, please visit our connections page for organisations that can support you.
